JO540 Multimedia Journalism

New Media Tools for Journalism

This week we're talking about finding and having conversations online. We'll also take a look at community.

First we'll see if anyone got in big media this week.

Then, I'll go over how to make audio video into a podcast and how to distribute.

Next we'll get into conversation and community.

I'll talk about how to interact with people and how valuable it is and give suggestions on who to follow.

Then I'll focus on twitter and twitter search to see what people are saying about current news events. Twitter search is very powerful.

Then we'll look at Seesmic some more and how you can tap into the world with video conversations.

Next I'll look at LinkedIN and see how you can get connected to people you are interested in meeting. We'll try some examples. It's a 6 degrees of separation thing.
